How usage is billed
Plan quota first, then credits, then paywall
Managed plans meter each AI feature against monthly caps. When you hit a limit, one-time credit packs keep you going — standard actions cost 1 credit, heavy ones (tailored resume, interview, full resume analysis) cost 3. Credits expire about 12 months after purchase.

Plan quota first
Each feature limit, monthly action total, and heavy cap are checked for the current UTC month.
Step 2
Credits when over quota
If balance covers the cost (1 or 3), the action is allowed and the ledger is debited. Soonest-expiring lots first.
Step 3
Paywall only when dry
No remaining plan quota and no credits means 402 — upgrade or buy a pack. Failed backend calls refund the charge.

New threads, history loads, and attachments are not priced separately. A failed backend call refunds the charge; a stream that starts successfully is spent even if you close the tab mid-reply.

Pro BYOK uses the encrypted vault in Account settings. Platform fee only — LLM usage hits your provider. Free users with a key also get unmetered use under fair-use.

Leave when you want
Cancel anytime; access runs to period end. Receipts, credit balance, and usage meters live on the Account billing panel.
